Special Event – NoDAPL struggle of the Native American people

Occupy Naperville is sponsoring a discussion/event on the #NoDAPL struggle of the Native American people. Frank Esposito will make this presentation at the DuPage UU Church in Naperville on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 2:30 to 5:00 pm.
Frank, who spent nine days in Standing Rock, ND, September 13-21, will provide his first hand account and photos of the continuing confrontations between oil pipeline barons and Native American tribal members. A tar sands oil pipeline, under construction, will if completed desecrate sacred burial grounds and the Missouri river.
Frank sent us a report from the field that starts with, “I have learned a lot about the Lakota Dakota Nakota people and their homelands. The camp is on the traditional hunting grounds and was a place where opposing tribes would meet to discuss treaties. This is truly historic.”
It will be a very interesting and informative afternoon. The brochure for the event is attached.
